Are you going to vote?

I asked the infamous Macavity, and here's what she had to say about it.

"If they keep having these dry voting days and expect me to vote and not drink, or even support the drink, I don't want to vote for people who can't drink! I mean, who can't be broad-minded enough to not send policemen to patrol every single minibar, or bar or restaurant in town, when they could be doing to a million other things. So no, I'm not going to vote."

Makes sense? P

politics is a dirty game these days...and all places u go there is so much corruption...

issues which have simple soultions like the mangalore pub case or the state resident- non resident cases have been blown out of proportion ... its people whom people vote who try and divide the minds and hearts of people on the basis of religion, caste..

sometimes i wonder y the world is not simple and y people play politics that hurt the society....

so even i m not that particular about the vote.. but ya if there is a good person with good credentials- a person who has done some good for the soceity... i will go and vote for him/ her... else will relax on the national holiday (as on the voting days - its normally a holiday- thats the best part!!)...

There was a debate on NDTV after that terrible incident in Mangalore, which i luckily watch. 1 incident capture my mind- The chairman of these religious group was criticizing bar, pubs, social drinking etc. as an example of westernization, which he opposed to. He was later asked a question wheather the suit and tie he wore was not westernization. :)

No point ni blaming the society and not voting. We can definately use the 49O i.e. Vote for No one but your Vote must count. Voting for No One is way better than Not Voting. There is a huge difference.
About Corruption we cannot point fingers at others as if we can bribe or corrupt someone for getting through a queue or in case caught breaching some rules. As we commonly use corruption for our convinience but when others do or take corruption we are all up in against speaking against corruption. Sheer hipocracy.

Vote leh vote loh chu mimal ngaihdan nisela. A chhan khi a chauh thuba rawh ka ti.

The Indian Constitution gives us not only the famous Fundamental Rights but also Fundamental Duties. Though it may not be our RIGHTS (we never deny our rights) but it is one's duty (to cast a vote), as a responsible, good citizen, to cast a vote. Our vote is the most important instrument in the efficient functioning of a true democracy and the only stairway to heaven on earth. You can STOP or ABETT crimes and corruptions.

We never wants to be part of the problems. Instead, we criticize from a distant. A sei lutuk dawn tlat! Moral part khi ka la chhang chak... he he
