No Kidding!

Blonde Teen: So I'm taking that religion class.
Brunette Teen: Oh yeah? The one where you read the Bible right?
Blonde teen: Yeah that one. And get this, we are about to start reading the Book of Proverbs.
Brunette Teen: Oh My God! I didn't know the Bible had a grammar section.
Blonde Teen: Me neither!!
Brunette Teen: Oh man, I bet it totally tells you how to speak like God... Except properly, you know?
Blonde Teen: [Gasp] I bet it totally does.
Brunette Teen: Ugh! I wish I had taken that class.

Yeah no kidding! Real people talking real crap. Next time I see a 'Dear the Third Worlds...' I'm gonna think of these 'First-Worlders' and thank God I'm not one of them - I'm gonna live and die a proud Third-Worlder :D

haa.. u have no idea how many such first-world comments i have heard...i have been called middle eastern many times...and its not just in knowledge, but almost in every field...i had an experience in health care....we always complain of our facilities, and we lack the hi-fi instruments, but trust me, we get way better care than the first world...and after being here, im any day glad i belong to the so called 3rd world.

I haven't been called middle eastern yet but I've heard other stupid comments - 'Where you from?' 'I'm Indian' 'Oh, thought you were Asian' 'Um..I thought I was Asian too' :p

ohh yes... the sian comment... we once had a group presentation where we had to present something on counseling in a particular ethinic group. my group got the asians. so i suggested that since im frm india, we narrow it down to indians. and some friends were like, "we cant do india, we are supposed to do something on asians"

Right! We Indians are just...Indians, not Asians. They think I'm Asian but I'm Indian, but I'm really Asian but not the Asian they have in mind. I'm Indian Asian LOL. Damn, this is tricky business!
